Teacher of English – Maternity Cover 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly effective and inspirational Teacher of English to join our vibrant and supportive team at John Hanson Community School. We are a successful, oversubscribed 11–16 community school, rated Good by Ofsted (March 2024).

We are looking for a teacher who has excellent subject knowledge, a passion for learning, and the ability to engage and enthuse students to reach their academic and personal potential. The successful candidate will:

Be passionate about teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4.

Have strong subject knowledge (we teach AQA at GCSE).

Be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations of all students.

Embrace wider school life and foster a sense of belonging for all.
