On Thursday 24 September, we were delighted to welcome prospective students, families and members of the local community to our annual Open Evening at John Hanson Community School.
The evening provided a wonderful opportunity to experience life at John Hanson, meet our dedicated staff and students, and explore the wide range of opportunities available both inside and outside the classroom. Visitors enjoyed touring our facilities, taking part in interactive subject activities and learning more about our ambitious curriculum and supportive school community.
We were particularly proud to hear from our Head Prefects, Macy and Tristan, Deputy Head Mr Earle, and Year 7 student Jack, who confidently shared his experiences of transitioning to secondary school and life at John Hanson. Guests were also treated to a fantastic vocal performance from Amelia, whose singing helped make the evening truly memorable.
A huge thank you goes to all of our students and staff who contributed to the success of the event. Their enthusiasm, dedication and pride in our school shone through throughout the evening.

A daytime tour gives you the opportunity to see John Hanson as we are every day. Visit lessons in action, experience the atmosphere around the school, meet staff and students, and gain a real insight into life at John Hanson Community School.
