Learning Support Assistant (one-year fixed term contract)

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic applicants to join a highly successful and respected Learning Support team. This is a crucial teaching and learning role within our school community, and the ideal candidates should demonstrate patience, professionalism and a passion for working with and assisting young people to learn.

There are good opportunities for career progression if desired, and it is an excellent role for those considering a future career in the teaching profession.

If you are imaginative and energetic and want to make a difference to the life-chances of all the students in your care, then this could be the post for you.

Our vision is to inspire and empower our students, within a culture of care and belonging, to embrace opportunities to learn, succeed and become the best versions of themselves. This is underpinned by our strapline: Inspire. Care. Succeed.

“A very happy and inclusive school because staff have successfully created a caring
and aspirational culture. They share a genuine belief that all pupils can fulfil their
potential.” (Ofsted March 2024)

We offer a dynamic place in which to work, where the potential of all members of our school community is valued.
“The school is very mindful of staff workload and of creating a positive and
supportive working environment which puts pupils first. Staff recognise this and are
proud to work at the school” (Ofsted March 2024)

We are absolutely committed to safeguarding our children and our recruitment procedures
are rigorous in this respect.

The role may include:
• working in classrooms and facilitating learning of a number of learners
• working one to one with identified students on learning tasks
• assisting on trips, internal school-events and social-time duties
We are looking for versatile people interested in education and supporting the development
of young people. Successful candidates would ideally have some experience of working in
an educational environment- however, all applications will be carefully considered.

Working Hours: 0835 – 1505 daily, term time only.

The role is a fixed term contract from July 2026 to July 2027 with the opportunity for review and the potential to become a permanent role.
