We’re delighted to welcome Year 5 pupils to experience life at John Hanson Community School! Our taster days give students the opportunity to explore our facilities, meet our staff, and get a taste of secondary school learning.
Balksbury Junior School
Balksbury Junior School pupils do not need to book – your school will coordinate attendance directly with us.
All Other Local Primary Schools
We have two taster day sessions available for pupils from other local primary schools:

What to Expect
During the taster day, Year 5 pupils will:
- Experience sample lessons across different subjects
- Tour our school facilities
- Meet teachers and current students
- Learn about the transition to secondary school
